In this picture, it is shown that 3 siblings taking a picture together at their hometown during the hari Raya, the two little brothers seem curious looking for the guest and relatives visit their house.

- BAD TYPOGRAPHY -

Hi guys ! so here a few design and for me it a bad typography.

This FM POPIA OTAK - OTAK advertising seems simple but for me it is a bad typography because of the phone number that tilted between the product name and the 'popia' picture.

 The second reason  why I choose this design as a bad typography  because the " HJ MOHD NOH ISMAIL" I cannot related the purpose on why they put the name with same size and colour exactly the product name.

The second design I choose as a bad typography is because the font that stretch from anywhere to somewhere.

The contrast between the background and font color doesnt match well.

The last design I choose as a bad typography  design is because the symbol, emoji that they use, colour played, and the font it self does not mix and match well and the message that the seller try to delivered to the audience.

If the audience didnt fully understand the phrase that the use. the audience might be misunderstand  towards this advertising.

why typography is so important ?

Naturally, you would want it to be as simple and straightforward as possible, and not have to worry about visitors trying to decipher cryptic messages hidden behind poor color choices and messy fonts.

This is why font choice and the overall consideration for typography are important. By choosing appropriate font faces, and assigning hierarchy where needed, you can greatly decrease confusion. Leaving visitors happy to stay and read your content.

The two most important qualities that your text should have are a readable font, and high contrast. Many sites today choose a sans-serif font such as Arial, Verdana, or Helvetica as their base font because they are familiar and very easy to read on screens. They also come standard, so by choosing fonts such as these, you can be sure that the text will visually be the same on every screen.

2. It attracts the readers.

3. It holds the audience's attention.

4. It conveys a certain mood or feeling.

5. It establishes an information hierarchy.

6. It helps to create harmony.

7. It reflects professionalism.

6 IMPORTANT ELEMENT

6 element in design that Sir Khai teach us is;

LINE
Lines enclose and contain the parts of a design by creating outlines. They can be smooth, rough, continuous, broken, thick or thin. Lines also send subliminal messages. A diagonal line, for example, has kinetic energy and movement, while a straight line is more ordered and clean.

SHAPE
shape is any enclosed space defined by lines or in contrast to its surroundings. They can be geometric (squares, ellipses, triangles, etc) or organic (a speech bubble, a blob, those little spiky things that pop on the screen when Batman punches someone).

SIZE
literaly it is between small and big; it is very important to attractive the audience. Size can impliment by the fonts or even the shape.

COLOR
Color is incredibly important and should never be an afterthought. Even a design set entirely in grayscale needs to be balanced and contrasted appropriately, to hue (red versus blue), consider the saturation and brightness (or “value”) of each color. Learn the basics of color theory to be sure a composition has the right mood, temperature and tone

VALUE
Color contrasts are studied with a pair of colours, as opposed to color harmony, which studies a set of colours. In color contrasting, two colors with perceivable differences in aspects such as luminance, or saturation, are placed side by side to create contrast. Contrast is the juxtaposition of opposing elements (opposite colours on the colour wheel, or value light / dark, or direction – horizontal / vertical). Contrast allows us to emphasize or highlight key elements in your design.

TEXTURE
Texture is everywhere as we navigate the world around us by both sight and touch. While we can’t feel them on websites and printed pages, textures from the outside world can be brought into a composition to give it life. Want to imply softness, comfort, and coziness? There’s no quicker way than a cotton textile background.

LOCAL FLIM

Lagenda Budak Setan is Malaysian film 2010 adapted from a novel with a same title by Ahadiat Akashah around  1985. This movie is directed by Sharad Sharan and starred by Farid Kamil, Lisa Surihani and Que Haidar.

Assalamualaikum guys so here it is my review and what i can describe based on my opinion 😊

 Let's start with the focal point which i can say as an audience i would be focus at the main character (Lisa Surihani & Farid Kamil) followed by the title 'LAGENDA BUDAK SETAN'. About the main character in the poster they look so intimate, close, very loving each other and the smile of Lisa give got no doubt at all . It like she use all the effort she have to give Farid the biggest smile she have to pleasent Farid because of the love affection that they have give in the way how he puts his face close to lisa and the expression laughing together that looks not fake at all it really convince me as a audience to know what the relationship status between this two Farid and Lisa.

While the background colour ; the designer use white for the whole poster as the background with a gradient green leaf 

at the top and autumn leaf at the bottom which may symbolize that they were in love, so everythings feel so comfortable and nice while the autumn leaf may mean sadness and dissapointment after what they have been through together untill the end of their relationship.

Thirdly; the font for LAGENDA BUDAK SETAN was bigger than the other font, here which may means the second focal point after the . for me the font that they use is really bring the legendary strength that may bring to show the real love that the film try to deliver to the audience .

Lastv but not least the side character which is antatgonist character I guess 👀 The antagonist character which starred by Que shows that he is full of dissactisfaction and anger because of the gloomy colour of the character it self and for the two woman beside Que at the bottom right . One seems very nice that may possibly solving problem in the relationship conflict while the other one maya vengeful person, same character with Que.
